Is milk better with low SPC/SCC? Absolutely! But let me tell you a little about these values. Quality milk has low SPC value (microbial value caused by bacterial growth in milk) and SCC (Somatic Cell count) that results in longer shelf life and more nutritional value for my milk, Plus a wonderful aroma, with a smooth and creamy taste that really satisfies! Take a look at the graph if you need more reassurance.
Because I’m a free-range cow, I have the freedom to choose the best fresh grass which provides my milk with CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid), which is beneficial to humans. It helps to reduce the risk of heart disease and promotes muscle growth. My milk also contains VA (Vaccenic acid) that helps with weight control, reducing the risk of obesity and diabetes better than milk from cows raised in enclosures. Let me tell you….not all milk can give you these benefits!
